"Cage Clock" Signed Raingo Frères, Napoleon III Period"

A gilt bronze cage clock, and red burgundy marble.
The pendulum and striking movement is part of the glass cage which is framed by quivers and surmounted by a covered vase. Perfect working condition.
The white enamelled dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes is signed: RAINGO Frères à PARIS.
The RAINGO Frères house was founded in 1823, it collected many medals during universal exhibitions (London 1862 and Paris in 1867,1878,1889) The works of the RAINGO brothers can be found in various museums including the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris, the Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels, the Pezzoli Museum in Milan and the Palacio Real in Madrid.
